The Millennium Fellowship 2020 Application

The Millennium Fellowship, was launched in 2013 as a 10 session, semester-long leadership accelerator that convene student leaders across universities to improve their student organizations, partnerships, and communal impact. The Fellowship gets thousands of worthy applicants annually, but the best of the best are selected for the program. More so, the Fellowship is an accredited course through Lynn University and Advanced Fellows have the opportunity to earn credit for participation.

Sam Vaghar, the MCN executive director and co-founder while commenting on one of the previous selection process said that “There were a lot of worthy applicants, but we looked for campus cohorts that reflect our commitment to empathetic, humble, inclusive leadership and where we thought the program could thrive based on strong applications and demonstrated leadership”.

Those who are selected from the various Universities are to convene to learn from and challenge each other, develop a plan of action for their sessions together, meet to exchange best practices, and should think bigger: organizing a campus-wide sustainability initiative or more. The great thing from this synergy is that, when your Fellowship Campus meets the goals you made for yourselves, you will earn a certificate of recognition from United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network. Also, 75% of MCN alumni will go on to work in social impact careers in the public and private sectors. Selected applicants also have the opportunity to learn from and meaningfully connect with professionals working in the field through speed networking, speed mentorship, and panel discussions on themes like Social Identities in Global Development and the Donor Perspective.
